1928 - Disney's, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit black & white silent short, Bright Lights, is released. It is directed by Walt Disney himself.
1928 - "Amos & Andy" debuts on radio (NBC Blue Network-WMAQ Chicago)

1965 - The wreck of the SS Georgiana, valued at over $50,000,000 and said to have been the most powerful Confederate cruiser, is discovered by  teenage diver, E. Lee Spence, exactly 102 years after its destruction.
